Beef Bone Broth Brown Rice with Spinach
Nutty brown rice simmered in rich beef bone broth and finished with fresh spinach for a savory, nourishing side dish.
Ingredients
- 1½ cups brown rice
- 3 cups beef bone broth
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp pink salt
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 3 cups fresh spinach
Instructions
-
Combine the base. Add brown rice, beef bone broth, butter, pink salt, and garlic powder to a medium saucepan. Stir to combine.
-
Bring to a boil. Place over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
-
Simmer. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 40–45 minutes until the rice is tender and the broth is absorbed.
-
Add the spinach. Remove from heat, add fresh spinach on top, replace the lid, and let sit for 5 minutes until the spinach wilts.
-
Fluff and serve. Remove the lid, fluff the rice with a fork, and gently fold the wilted spinach throughout. Serve warm.
